I don’t know who invented this maid of honor gig, but I’m living for it. When Sierra, the bride-to-be, said she wanted a tea party bridal shower I almost fell over dreaming this party up. I was just so excited!
I mean, you get to plan a bridal shower, bachelorette party, and help decorate a wedding. That’s three of my favorite things all in one package!
And let’s just say, I had a great time planning this Ecclectic Tea Party.
The Tea Party Table Decor

We decorated two different rooms and tables with old books, collected teapots, candlesticks, and old ceramic shoes. The venue we hosted this party at is the bride’s soon-to-be sister-in-law’s house. It’s an old, renovated historic home in our little home town.

Each place setting was a mix and match of a dinner plate, saucer, and teacup. Then we filled each teacup with Cheshire cat cupcakes to add just a hint of wonderland.
The Grand Entrance to Our Tea Party Bridal Shower
The goal was to create an experience as guests approached the old mansion. But we wanted to add a touch of Wonderland. Enter these arrow signs that turned out sooooooo cute.

The Food (& Tea, Obviously)

We really achieved pulling off a plethora of treats at this party. I couldn’t even try them all!
We tried to create a fairy tale ish look by putting the cupcakes into the tea cups at our tea party bridal shower. They turned out so cute! I made the cupcakes and was going for a sort of cheshire cat swirly effect..? I’m no cupcake expert but they sure did turn out cute!

These beautiful cookies were made by a local cookie decorator Jen & Jules Custom Cookies. They did a beautiful job, and not only were the cookies so pretty. They were also too delicious to put down.

AcTEAvities
What’s a bridal shower without a little girl talk?
We had a great time enjoying out tea. We even went around the table and named fond memories with our bride-to-be.

But you can’t have a bridal shower without a little trivia. I made this bridal jeopardy board so that we could enjoy a little themed trivia about our bride and her groom.
I thought it was great to include five different categories not all about the bride. That gives everyone there (the groom’s family, and people who don’t know the couple super well) the opportunity to know a few of the questions.

Our categories were: the bride, the groom, their dog, the couple, and famous couples. This gave us a good mix of questions for everyone to enjoy.
I also just released this bridal jeopardy board on my Etsy shop! If you’re interested, click below for more details.
Our Blushing Bride at her Tea Party Bridal Shower
I was so happy to be a party of Sierra’s special day. Everyone deserves a party as magical as this one was!

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope this post has inspired you on your party planning mission moving forward.
